The study of any system to be investigated starts with detailed analysis of available experiments and existing kinetic models from the literature. The problem is then formulated with selection of appropriate diagnostic techniques available at the Division of Combustion Physics, Lund University.
This includes thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, ignition, fluid dynamics and the formation of pollutants. From the knowledge in these areas it is possible to reach an understanding for energy related and environmental problems connected to real life combustion.
